Regards to the topics recently, I am curious
For me we should very cautious in dealing wth this kinds of motions
Yet looking at the motions listed here, the motions were very clear on what they want the debate to be about. No room for interpretations, no room for contextualising. It went straight to the fundamentals of Islam.
Like explained, the motion is expected to be debated in a hypothetical world where anything goes, expecting the motion to be discussed head on thus compromising faith and principle in the process.
And may I remind you, this is a secondary school debate, not even varsity level.
Kudos to the team for withdrawing from the competition.
Sometimes we need to draw the line, if not for others then for ourselves.
